If you haven’t used Meebo yet, here’s a link that will open it up in a new window. www.meebo.com Go ahead, I’ll wait.
Ok, so now you know that it is a website that will let you stay connected with all of the major IM networks anywhere you are, even keeping your chat logs as you travel. Combine that with their “Meebo Me” service, which lets you connect directly with visitors to your website through a AJAX chat window (as I’ve implimented on the contact page of my design portfolio) and you’ve got a prime example of Web 2.0 making our online lives easier.
Meebo has been under the radar for a long time now, steadily growing in popularity through word of mouth. Now over at the Meeblog Elaine has shared some great news. Time Magazine is including Meebo in its list of the 50 Coolest Websites of 2006. This is some well deserved attention for the team behind Meebo, and I expect we will see a huge flux of traffic and development as they get pushed further into the public eye.
