Sony PSP - Stay Tuned
Originally uploaded by ocellnuri.
Thanks to my friend Brian I’ve finally got my hands on a Sony PSP. This is a seriously slick device. The menu system is addictive… a great display of user interface design.
I want it mostly for multimedia and homebrew… but I have to admit that Need for Speed Underground: Rivals is pretty fun.
I have a pretty serious project planned for this… hopefully Henry and I will get it going this semester. Stay tuned here for progress.

Clear Cases

I love these clear hard-plastic cases companies are making for devices now. They keep the devices slim while giving completely protection. I have tried silicone cases, but they make it difficult for me to slip something into my jeans pocket.
Pictured are the Agent18 cases for the 4G iPod photo and the 5G iPod video, as well as the SP Experts Crystalcase for the Palm Treo 650.

“Preloadr is a free image tool (web based), that connects you with your flickr account and lets you design your photos before or after you upload them to your flickr account.”
I recently blogged about Snipshot, an online photo editing program. This looks to take things to the next step for Flickr users. Instead of uploading to Flickr, you upload your (unedited) photo to Preloadr. In Preloadr you can do edits to your photo, even with a histogram and layers… far beyond what I saw offered by Snipshot. When you’re done, Preloadr sends the image to Flickr for you.
I don’t see this replacing any advanced workflows, but could get great for working from a friend’s computer or when uploading a quick snapshot that you don’t really feel the need to give the full treatment in Photoshop.

After hearing Sen. Ted Stevens’ now infamous description of the internet as a “series of tubes,” Andrew Raff sang the senator’s words over a folksy ditty and anonymously posted it to MySpace. On Tuesday, MySpace canceled the TedStevensFanClub account.
So what is Fox trying to hide? Do they not want everyone to know the structural nature of the internet is actually tubes?? Why do they want to pull the wool over our eyes and lead us to believe that putting massive ammounts of material in the tubes will not delay people sending us the internet?
Surely we all saw this from a mile away when Myspace was aquired by Murdoch. I know I did.
