Amazon Embraces Wiki

I was reading up on the Canon E2 hand strap when I noticed a new section on Amazon’s product page (as if it wasn’t long enough). There is now a “ProductWiki” section, where customers can edit their own information on the product. I see this as another move from Amazon to use customers to gather/check most of the information on a product. This adds to customer reviews, customer images, and customer lists. You can see a list of the most edited wiki pages.

I love to see all of these new tools added. It really adds to the amount of information you can get about a product. However, I would really like to see Amazon step back and try to redesign their pages a little. Things are becoming very cluttered and cumbersome to figure out. For instance, how long have these Wiki pages been around before I noticed them?
