If you’ve been following the idea behind Creative Commons licensing (attention Mesh) then you will be very excited by Flickr’s latest update. By going to http://flickr.com/creativecommons/ you can browse all of the photos in Flickr by the type of Creative Commons licensing the creators have assigned to them!
What does this mean? Well the next time you’re looking for a great photo to use as the basis for your new website header you can easily find a great image from Flickr’s huge collection that you can freely use. Are you looking to make a commercial publication? Switch to look for the right license, and get your photo quickly. This will save time as you won’t fall in love with photos you can’t use.
