Ok, I know I’ve posted a lot today, but this REALLY got me excited. Wacom now has a 6″x8″ digitizing tablet that has Bluetooth built in, the (creatively named) Graphire Bluetooth 6×8 Tablet. While this isn’t a huge deal in the grand scheme of digitizing tablets, it gets a 10/10 on the “OcellNuri Cool Scale”. I can just imagine getting out my Powerbook, setting it on the table infront of me, and then slipping the Bluetooth Graphire out of my bag, and setting it in my lap. Then I’d be manipulating photos and drawing sketches, all without any wires restricting my motions.
The Bluetooth Graphire has “512 levels of” pressure sensitivity, but unfortunately does not have the tilt sensitivity the Intuos3 line has. Apparently it only comes in 6″x8″, which is a perfect size for me personally. Wacom wants $250 for the Bluetooth Graphire, which is $50 more than the 6″x8″ USB Graphire3. A small price to pay, in my opinion, for the hassle free connectivity Bluetooth provides.

This is WAY too cool! I currently have a Wacom 6×8 as well but the cord always got annoying. I used to bring it along with my Dell Inspiron 700m to class and use it to take notes and scribble away in Microsoft OneNote :-p This would make things much simplier… too bad this notebook doesn’t have built-in bluetooth and I have to use a USB thumb drive sized adapter. No biggy tho, cool stuff!
