It looks like Google has swallowed up another company, this time the company behind Picasa, the awesome photo management program I wrote a snippet about just a couple posts ago. Google is offering version 1.6 of Picasa for free here: http://www.picasa.com/google/?promo=hpp1
This is just great. I think Picasa is one of the most thought out and well programed windows application I’ve ever tried, and now it’s free. Picasa’s companion photo-sharing program, Hello, already interacts with Blogger, allowing you to post images and comments through the software and even offering photo hosting for BlogSpot users. Hopefully we will see even more Google and Blogger integration into Picasa. Perhaps we’ll even see some Gmail integration.
