The Zodiac

It’s been a long time since my last post, I know. I have been pretty held down with school and moving and all of that fun stuff. I am very excited about this product though. If you are reading this Blog, then I am sure you already know of its existence and I am going to tell you nothing you don’t already know here. However, on the off chance that you do not know what the Zodiac is, I will go ahead and go into a little detail.

The Zodiac is a PalmOS5 device developed by Tapwave, a company made up of some of the biggest names in the handheld industry. The Zodiac is an attempt to make a dedicated PalmOS game machine. The unit is just awesome! You have a big 320×480 screen between a real analog joystick and four action buttons. The unit also has finger trigger buttons on the upper corners of the case. The unit has two SD/MMC slots that support SDIO. You get Bluetooth that will allow for up to 8 player multiplayer games just by having the units in range of each other. The unit can have the screen content rotated between portrait and landscape mode, much like the new PalmOne T3, which makes it very very flexible. Of course because it is PalmOS, it has a touch screen and over 19,000 applications already developed. There is a lot more than I can go into detail here, but you can check out the official website at http://www.tapwave.com/ and there is a great source of Zodiac related news at http://www.zodiacgamer.com/.
