I had some fun with the camera on my Sony Clie NR70V while visiting some friends at Cambel the other night. To check out the pictures head over to my Personal Gallery at Cliesource.com. It was a lot of fun… as you can tell. We had some winter weather here in NC this week, and I havn’t been in power for a couple days. They are slowly getting the area back online, but it is going to take a few more days until everyone is back with power.

Well.. Project “Desk Computer” is dead. It looks like the mobo shorted out somewhere because I cannot get the system to boot up at all. Nothing happens when I hit the power switch. That’s what I get for running a system without a case I guess. Looks like grounding is important after all. So now I’m just going to put down the cash and build a real system. Right now I’m looking at a P4 2.53gighz on a Asus P4S8X motheboard. I may go to a P4G8X Deluxe if I can afford it. This bad boy has Gigabit LAN built in. I’m getting a 19″ NEC monitor. I’ll stick my current sound card and CDROM drive in the new computer. Right now I’m still searching for a case, RAM, and hard drive. I’d love to go with something over 120gig for the hard drive. Of course, wouldn’t we all? I do not plan on “modding” my case, because I plan on letting my computer spend most of its time under my desk. I am entertaining the idea of building certain parts, such as the CDROM, into my desk.
