This is great. Merry Christmas Eve.. I have brought the gift of laughter. Below is a link to a father’s guide to making sure your son is not a hacker. He puts forth ten signs that your son may be a hacker, and recommends appropriate courses of action. Very important reading. If your children have the ability to get on the internet, you must read this article. (I hope no one takes this seriously)

This is interesting. If you have ever been screwed over by Best Buy, you will be able to relate to this guy. Sure he is just talking about a couple packs of film… but if they do it with film, what else are they doing it with? Read on at the following link, and spread the word if you feel like it… http://mywebpages.comcast.net/exii/bestbuy.html

I got a webcam last night. It is pretty fun, just being able to communicate with other people visually. Here is my gripe though… Trillian will not recognize my webcam for my Yahoo account, so if I want to use my webcam I have to log out of my Y! account on Trillian and open up Y! Messenger. Messenger will see my camera with no problem. I’m using a Chameleon Mega camera, or something like that. I don’t have the camera in front of me and it was given to me, so I’m not sure if that is the exact name or not. It is one of those "1.3 Megapixel Video/Digital/Web" cams. It is fun, but not a serious camera at all. If anyone knows how to get this camera to work with Trillian drop me an e-mail if you will… ocellnuri@earthlink.net.

I just wanted to share a painting I did today. It is acrylic paint applied with small cards instead of brushes. I just kinda slapped the colors around, but I feel that it gives a real good sense of light source and shadows. Below is the thumbnail… click for the full size picture.

I have been messing with changing the way my computer looks and works. Such programs as WindowBlinds, Hoverdesk, DesktopX, and AstonShell have been my favorites. Right now I’m using AstonShell. Aston actually replaces your windows shell program, which is based on Internet Explorer, called iexplore.exe if I remember correctly. The Aston shell is written to take up less resources, crash less, and run faster. So far it has done all of those things on my PIII 1gighz machine. Windows has been crashing non stop due to lack of system resources. In Aston everything runs a lot better. Of course, my favorite thing about Aston is that it is fully skinnable. There are tons of themes out for it, and it is easy to modify them or make your own. Aston also gives you a sort of active desktop.. letting you add things like e-mail checkers, and animated icons. If you are tired of the Windows interface, I suggest you check one of these programs out.

Sorry about the tri-post. I made an error while linking to the website for those programs and it messed Blogger up somehow. I’m working on trying to delete those other two posts… but Blogger doesn’t like it at all.
